In what has been one of the most sensational football news in South Africa recently, it's been reported that Percy Tau could potentially be jetting back to Africa with Al Ahly as the reports divided opinions among fans.
What's the story?
As mentioned, it's been reported that Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane wants his former star player back under his guidance with the Egyptian giants.
Tau is currently at Brighton Hove Albion, as the club undergoes their pre-season program, with the former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker recently scoring a wonder goal in one of their recent warm-up fixtures.
Deal Close?
Now though, it's been reported that Brighton and Ahly are close to reaching an agreement for the 27-year-old, with finer details of the deal being under wraps. It's said that much will depend on Tau and whether he would be keen on making the switch back to Africa.
As expected, the news caused a massive stir online, with a fan by the name of Bradley Mposhomali branding Mosimane as 'selfish' in his pursuit of Tau.
Pitso Being Selfish?
As seen in a comment on Facebook under the Soccer Laduma 'Ah Ahly Interest In Percy Tau Escalates' post', Mposhomali said, "I don't think Pitso is doing right, to be honest.
"I love the legendary coach but bringing Percy back to Africa so he could secure his job is bit of selfish, while he has full pre-season and doing well. Why unsettle him? Why does Pitso want our best player to play in Africa? I will be happy if Tau stay in Europe."
