Gavin Hunt's appointment as Chippa United's new head coach has been much talked about on social media this week, with one fan saying that money could well have been the motivation behind the move.
On Wednesday afternoon, the former Kaizer Chiefs mentor was revealed as the Chilli Boys new coach as he looks ahead to the 2021/22 PSL campaign.
In speaking about the move, Hunt revealed that he is excited at the prospect of working with the Eastern Cape-based club and that the province deserves a successful team.
That being said, a local football fan gave his honest assessment on Hunt's move to Chippa and mentioned that money could have been a factor at the end of the day.
In commenting on a Soccer Laduma Facebook post, which was about Hunt's revealing at the club, Walter Anold said, "Hunt will sign a good contract, for financial reasons that's a good move.
"However, this will have a bad image on his CV as a coach if he gets fired just after few months
"The likes of Jose Mourinho, he doesn't last any longer these days but always walks away with his pocket full. Wishing you all the best of luck coach."
