After making his debut for Orlando Pirates recently, Ntsake Makhubela had fans debating about whether he has what it takes to make it at Mayfair. Check it out!
What's the story?
Makhubela represented the Buccaneers for the first time against Swallows FC this past weekend when Pirates came away with a 1-0 weekend courtesy of a Tshegofatso Mabasa goal in the 78th minute.
The 27-year-old was signed by the club in the recent transfer window and made a decent first impression and featured for 85 minutes before being replaced by Olisah Ndah.
Not Getting Carried Away
Following the game, Pirates coach Fadlu Davids came out and urged the midfielder to keep his head after making his debut and that more will be expected of him as he commences in his career.
That being said, fans took to the Soccer Laduma facebook account and expressed their thoughts on the new Pirates star under the 'Davids Verdict On Pirates New Star' post.
Here are some of the reactions…
Mthoko Phoseka VII:
"Only if he'd improve his sense of urgency and pace going forward. Otherwise, he's a good player."
Igwe Masabs Sp:
"In Mzansi players do great one game next gone."
Sbusiso Mathibela:
"In South Africa we like to praise cows ...it shows how desperate we are."
Have your say…
Do you think Makhubela will be a good signing for Pirates?
