How The World Cup Trophy Was Stolen... Twice

How The World Cup Trophy Was Stolen... Twice

In today's edition of Supporters Club Did You Know, we bring you the fascinating story of how the World Cup trophy was stolen… twice!

In the 1966 World Cup in England, the trophy was put on public display before the tournament began. Thieves managed to run away with the trophy in a bag, but it was later discovered by a dog, Pickles, who was being walked by his owner, in a park.

This wasn't the only time the trophy was stolen... it was also nabbed at the 1970 World Cup in Brazil, and to this day that trophy has never been found.
