'Happy Jele Must Stay With Pirates, His Name Is Our Slogan After All'

'Happy Jele Must Stay With Pirates, His Name Is Our Slogan After All'

Happy Jele is one of Orlando Pirates' longest-serving players. The defender's contract with the Soweto giants is coming to an end in June 2018.

As reported by the Siya crew, Pirates are very much interested keeping Jele beyond 2018, although no official extension to his contract has been made. The 31-year old has also expressed that he would like to stay at Mayfair, and is not eager to play anywhere else.

Some of Supporters Club members seem to agree with the player, and would like to see Jele stay at Bucs for years to come.

"Happy also means happiness, but Jele means something else (prison). So Happy is happy to put people in a football prison by not letting them score. Happy is as well happy to see happy people always happy at Bucs. We will make Happy Jele happy to make all the Bucs happy people stay happy. #UP THE BUCS." – The Bucsboss

"Let Jele stay with the team because his name is our slogan after all. He is as happy as his name when the team wins." – Bra Eddy Senoks

"Happy Jele will always be N1 Freeway. It's a pity Komphela didn't give Parker and Castro permission to drive their cars to full speed this past Saturday. Castro was given limited speed." – PHAZAMISA AKA NGOZI THE RETURN

"Nice one, he is the best! Calm, level-headed player produced by the Bucs. Wish him all the best leader. His commitment is huge for Pirates." – szmkhwanazi9@gmail.com

"Happy Jele is a leader, no matter how other people feel about this player. He is leading from the back in the Pirates team." – mbixane

Do you think Jele will ever leave the Buccaneers?
