It was confirmed on Wednesday that Kaizer Chiefs defender Lorenzo Gordinho has moved to Bloemfontein Celtic on a one-year loan deal, while the Soweto giants also announced the arrival of Siwelele midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela on a two and half year contract.
Gordinho's move to Celtic, in particular, came as a shock to many. Supporters Club caught up with one of its members, Amakhosi fan Nkanyiso Mathamba, to get his view on the defender's temporary departure from Naturena.
Lerato: Hi fam! The Gordinho move received mixed reactions as nobody could have predicted it. How do you feel about it?
Nkanyiso: Eish, I am hurt, am not going lie. The boy is really good, one for the future that I thought was going to grow steadily at Chiefs... he is a young boy with mistakes obviously but his game is very matured, that boy. I like a central defender who also pushes forward and gives you goals at times. His only sin was that mistake he committed that night at FNB Stadium against SuperSport United, where Mathoho received a red card, and shame it was his first ever red card in his professional career. Komphela failed to manage that situation and therefore killed that boy's morale. Lorenzo deserves to play for Chiefs and good thing he is our development player and yet we chase him away, we treat him like that.
Do you think Chiefs made a good decision in loaning out Gordinho?
