It looks like Manchester United are starting to find their form and recover from their disastrous 2013/14 season. Today we take a look at the man tasked with bringing them back to success. Here's 5 things you may or may not have known about Louis van Gaal!
1. Louis van Gaal's full name is Aloysius Paulus Maria van Gaal.
2. He comes from a big family, was one of nine children who each had their chores around the house. His daily job was to take care of the groceries and to peel a mountain of potatoes to feed the family.
3. Van Gaal is a fully qualified gymnastics and has worked at high schools teaching gymnastics.
4. In 1997 he received the Order of Orange-Nassau, which is the Dutch version of a knighthood.
5. He is widely considered to be Jose Mourinho's mentor, after Mourinho spent a spell as his assistant at FC Barcelona.
