This week we focus on the player who sealed the Community Shield for Arsenal over the weekend. Here's five things about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain!
1. He comes from a football family, being the son to former Portsmouth right-back Mark Chamberlain. He and his dad are the only father and son pair to have BOTH scored for England.
2. He is the youngest Englishman to score in the Champions League, scoring on his debut against Olypiakos.
3. He is a multi-faceted athlete. When he was younger he was on a scholarship for football, rugby and cricket. Southampton snapped him up and thus began his football career.
4. He has a keen sense of humour. In support of an anti-homophobia campaign, "The Ox" went on camera and stated "I can't help that I look like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle." At an Arsenal event, when asked who his favourite past Arsenal legend is, he replied: "Nicklas Bendtner".
5. Based on a vote taken by the Arsenal players recently, he was selected to most likely be Player of the Season followed by Mesut Özil and new signing Petr ?ech.
