SSU Announce Major Partnership

SuperSport United have announced an official partnership with a women's team, the Siya crew can confirm.

The Tshwane outfit finished third in the DStv Premiership standings and as a result, qualified for the CAF Confederations Cup. In line with their requirements for CAF, Matsatsantsa have partnered with the Tshwane University of Technology women's team.

The partnership will officially be know as the TUT Matsatsantsa Ladies FC and will campaign in the Hollywood bets.

The announcement was confirmed at a press conference held at the SuperSport offices in Randburg on Tuesday.

In an official statement, SuperSport CEO Stan Matthews confirmed the partnership between the two brands.

"SuperSport United has a history with TUT that goes back 25 years when TUT was our first team training ground. We have former TUT Students who joined our organization on internships and have made an impact on the sporting landscape and last season we started to play PSL matches at the TUT Stadium. With this solid foundation we are proud to partner with TUT in our maiden voyage into Women's Football with the launch of our partnership of the TUT Matsatsantsa Women's Team," he said.
