SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has weighed in on whether Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams should be considered for Footballer of the Season and revealed his choice for the award.
Williams has been one of the outstanding players for Sundowns, not only keeping cleansheets but playing a key role in how the Brazilians build-up from the back and also tactically pushing up to play as a sweeper keeper.

The former SuperSport shot-stopper broke the record of cleansheets in the PSL previously held by former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs since the 2009/10 season.
The Bafana Bafana goal-minder broke the record after keeping his 18th cleansheet of the season in Sundowns' 2-0 win over Marumo Gallants last weekend.
Hunt was asked if Williams should be considered for Player of the Year and says he believes goalkeepers should not be in the running for the award, otherwise it means the team has been struggling, defending all the time.

"Ronwen? I don't think a goalkeeper should win Player of the Year, no chance. That means the team has been struggling, has been defending," Hunt told journalists at the club's training grounds.
"I think he's having a magnificent season but I just don't think a goalkeeper should win Player of the Year but I think he's been brilliant," he said.
The multiple league-winning coach also said that it's not a good sign for a goalkeeper to win Player of the Year award, especially with the team that Sundowns has and revealed his choice for the award.
"But that's not a good sign, is it? The goalkeeper to win Player of the Year on the team that they've got? (Teboho) Mokoena has been the Player of the Year for me," he said.
"Goalkeepers winning Player of the Tournament or in the World Cup, I just don't see it. Goalkeepers win you games but when you're so dominant and a goalkeeper wins Player of the Year, I don't know. It's a debate anyway," he added.
