Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to bounce back from their league disappointment when they travel to Royal AM in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals on Sunday evening.

Chiefs could not win their sixth game in a row in all competitions after a 1-1 draw against Marumo Gallants last weekend, denting their hopes of finishing second.

Amakhosi, however, booked their spot in the quarter-finals for the first time since 2019 after edging Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars 2-1 in the last 16.

As for Royal AM, they bounced back from two successive losses against Mamelodi Sundowns and Marumo Gallants in the league with a 3-1 victory over Stellenbosch 3-1 in midweek.

Thwihli Thwahla qualified for the quarter-finals after drubbing KwaZulu-Natal rivals Golden Arrows 3-1 in extra-time in the round of 16.

Chiefs ended their losing streak claimed their first-ever win over Royal AM in January thanks to goals by Sifiso Hlanti and Ashley Du Preez.
