Bafana opened their Group A campaign with a 1-1 draw against Mozambique in midweek.
Rushwin Dortley broke the deadlock for Helman Mkhalele's charges just before the break but Chamito Alfandega levelled matters for the Mambas midway into the second stanza.
Botswana, on the other hand, also drew their opening game after a goalless draw against Eswatini.

Both sides will be looking to increase their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals.
SA qualified for the semi-finals ahead of the Zebras in last year's edition, after finishing second, as only group winners qualified for the last four.
Bafana won the group encounter against Botswana in this tournament 2-1 after coming from behind, with goals by Iqraam Rayners and Shaun Mogaila, although the Zebras were disadvantaged by the red card of Tebogo Kopelang in the last 25 minutes.
