The Buccaneers were in action on the final matchday of the season a couple days ago, as they played to a 1-1 draw against AmaZulu in Durban.
The Soweto giants have already secured a second-place finish and will be playing for pride as they aim to end the campaign on a high.
Magesi, meanwhile, secured their safety on the weekend after playing to a 1-1 draw with Marumo Gallants in their final home game of the campaign.
However, Owen da Gama's charges can secure eighth place if they secure win and hope SuperSport defeat Golden Arrows on Thursday afternoon.
The teams will be meeting for a third time this season, as Magesi claimed a 3-2 win in the Carling Knockout while Pirates secured a 1-0 win in the league.
