Orlando Pirates winger Vincent Pule has announced his long-awaited return to action by penning an emotional note to the club's passionate supporters.

As reported by the Siya crew, Pule recently returned to training with Pirates following a lengthy injury layoff that included a last-minute relapse, which prolonged his stay on the sidelines.

The latest regarding the attacker is that he appears to have been given the all-clear by the Pirates medical department to resume playing, for the first time since October 2021.

"It's been 190 days since my injury. It's been 47 weeks and 2 days of pain, bad times, good times, great support from my family more from the supporters who always asked about my return from this injury but your love, care and support has pushed me throughout the whole 190 days without being able to do what I really love the most which is football, but I'm glad and excited to make my long awaited comeback," Pule wrote on his official Facebook page.

Pule's return to action is a welcomed boost for Pirates who are gunning for a second-place finish in the DStv Premiership as well as the CAF Confederation Cup, where they have the mammoth task of overturning a 1-0 deficit after the defeat to Simba SC.

The Buccaneers, host the Tanzanian outfit under a cloud of controversy on Sunday, following coach Mandla Ncikazi's post-match outburst, which in return was met by a damning statement from Simba.

Kick off for the match is at 18:00.
