Orlando Pirates had a chance to level matters at the top of the table earlier this week when the Sea Robbers hosted Mamelodi Sundowns in a league match. However, the two sides shared the spoils and Milutin Sredojevic's side remained in the second spot on the Premier Soccer League standings.

This weekend, the title chase continues as Bucs travel across town to Braamfontein to take on Bidvest Wits. The Clever Boys are in the third position, however, are on level points with Pirates on 41 points.

With this being a key encounter for both sides as they see who will make it to the finish line and snatch the league title, former South African midfielder, Albert Kometsi predicts the outcome of this game as well as other encounters.

Do you agree with Kometsi's predictions this week?

Match of the Week

Bidvest Wits v Orlando Pirates (Premier Soccer League)

Match 2 Soccer 6 Pool 6 April S6 V1 P1

League Rankings: Bidvest Wits 3rd Orlando Pirates 2nd

Useful facts: It's such a key game for both sides in their pursuit of the league title, although one may have to be careful about calling it a title decider. Bidvest Wits will surely want to come out guns blazing to prove their mettle after they were knocked out of the cup by Chippa United last Friday. The Braamfontein-based side will also be out to test Orlando Pirates' defensive abilities, as they have players in attack who can put fear in the mind of any defender in the league on their day. Games between the two teams always produce talking points and this promises to be one of those, with Gavin Hunt looking to outwit Milutin Sredojevic. The Soweto giants' tendency to blow hot and cold, as well as the rotational policy adopted by the Serbian mentor, means that one just does not know which Orlando Pirates will rock up on the day. However, when they get going, they can give a few headaches to the opposition, especially with the way they can slice a defence open and create real goalscoring opportunities. They will rue Monday's draw against Mamelodi Sundowns, where they squandered opportunities in front of goal.

Albert Kometsi: Draw

Highlands Park v Free State Stars (Premier Soccer League)

Match 1 Soccer 6 Pool 6 April S6 V1 P1

League Rankings: Highlands Park 9th Free State Stars 13th

Useful facts: Free State Stars will no doubt want to put on a performance similar to the one in which they beat AmaZulu 4-1 before the FIFA international break. Sitting in a perilous position on the log, they need the points more than Highlands Park. However, morale must be at an all-time low at the Bethlehem-based side. Having recorded a 1-1 draw against Chippa United in their last league match, the home side will defend see this game as an opportunity to get back to winning ways in front of their fans. A win could see Owen da Gama's charges back in the Top Eight, depending on what would have happened between Maritzburg United and Bloemfontein Celtic, as they trail the latter by a single point.

Albert Kometsi: Highlands Park win
