The Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers will take place this weekend as there are some crucial matches that will determine whether some of the nations will make it to the competition that is set to take place in June 2019.

In Group D, Benin find themselves placed in the second position on seven points, while their opponents. Togo are fifth on five points. However, the fight for the second spot is still wide open as both sides have the chance to qualify, not forgetting Gambia in the third spot sharing the points tally with Togo. This could be any of the three's spot for the taking.

Former Ria Stars' Sidney Moshikaro got in on the encounters that will be taking place and gave us his predictions. Do you agree with his choices?

Benin v Togo (Afcon qualifier)

Match 3 Soccer 6 Pool 24 March S6 V3 P1

World Rankings: Benin 94th Togo 122nd

Useful facts: Second place is still there for the taking in this group and this makes this game all the more crucial for both nations. Two points are what separates Benin and Togo and a draw might just be enough for Benin, depending on the other result. A goalless draw was the scoreline in the earlier match between the two sides and will once more be approaching this one with caution, with it becoming clearer on what they need to do to book themselves a ticket to Egypt.

Sidney Moshikaro: Draw

Cape Verde Islands v Lesotho (Afcon qualifier)

Match 4 Soccer 6 Pool 24 March S6 V3 P1

World Rankings: Cape Verde Islands 74th Lesotho 146th

Useful facts: This is a match-up between two so-called minnows, with Cape Verde Islands having been on the up in recent times. Seeing they are bottom of the group, they will be hoping to beat Lesotho and for Uganda to get the better of Tanzania in the other match, in order for them to sneak into the tournament. It is doable at home and they are favoured to walk away victorious. But their qualification hopes hinge largely on the result of the other match.

Sidney Moshikaro: Cape Verde win

Tanzania v Uganda (Afcon qualifier)

Match 5 Soccer 6 Pool 24 March S6 V3 P1

World Rankings: Tanzania 137th Uganda 77th

Useful facts: Uganda have already qualified, but will certainly be taking this game seriously, especially as preparation for the Afcon and perhaps to fine-tune some areas of their game and give certain combinations a try. They will also want to preserve their unbeaten record in the current qualifying campaign, having registered four wins and a draw. Head coach Sebastien Desabre has selected a team made up of no less than 10 locally-based players and these players will surely be out to impress and earn themselves in the squad to travel to Egypt for the massive showpiece in June. Denis Onyango should retain his place as the team's number one, and his teammates will once more draw inspiration from the burly Mamelodi Sundowns keeper.

Sidney Moshikaro: Uganda win
