Premier Soccer League action will headline this weekend's encounters as the likes of Polokwane City host Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United take on Baroka FC.

Rise and Shine have been out, stamping their authority this season and are certainly no pushovers. A point separates these two sides on the log standings with City in eighth and Chiefs in seventh, however, that could all change come this Saturday. Ernst Middendorp's charges will have to be careful though, after failing to freely score in their previous match against SAB League side, The Magic last weekend in their Nedbank Cup encounter, they would not want to find themselves repeating this against the Limpopo-side that have 23 goals in 18 league games.

Former South African professional, Raymond Seopa got in on this week's predictions. Do you agree with the choices that he made?

Polokwane City v Kaizer Chiefs (Premier Soccer League)

Match 2 Soccer 6 Pool 23 February S6 V1 P2

League Rankings: Polokwane City 8th Kaizer Chiefs 7th

Useful facts: Kaizer Chiefs turn their focus to their league commitments after making heavy work of their passage to the quarter-final of the cup competition last weekend and will hope for nothing less than three points against Polokwane City. The home side has been the surprise package of the season, considering they started the campaign with a new coach, and only one point separates them and their opponents. Therefore, Amakhosi will take them lightly at their own peril. Ernst Middendorp's side will need their attackers to step up to the plate, after fluffing most of their chances against The Magic FC on Sunday, as they could be punished by a Rise and Shine side that has scored 23 goals in 18 league games if they don't capitalise.

Raymond Seopa: Kaizer Chiefs win

Sevilla v Barcelona (LaLiga)

Match 3 Soccer 6 Pool 23 February  S6 V1 P2

League Rankings: Sevilla 4th Barcelona 1st

Useful facts: There seems to be no stopping Barcelona from romping to yet another La Liga championship victory, having opened a seven-point gap at the top of the standings. Their next opponents, though, are a tricky outfit – they have drawn as much as they have lost (seven) so far this season, with 10 wins. However, they have conceded 28 goals and it is hard to imagine Lionel Messi Co. not registering on the score sheet come Saturday. That could prove to be the only real difference on the day. In the second leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-final last month, the La Liga giants thumped the home side 6-1!

Raymond Seopa: Barcelona win

SuperSport United v Baroka FC (Premier Soccer League)

Match 6 Soccer 6 Pool 23 February S6 V1 P2

League Rankings: SuperSport United 6th Baroka FC 14th

Useful facts: SuperSport United emerged from the clutches of mediocrity to beat Golden Arrows 3-2 in a highly entertaining league match two weekends ago and they will hope that would have been the start of their resurrection after experiencing a dip in form. They don't come trickier than Baroka FC, though, who can be scintillating on their day. Having fought hard for a 2-2 draw against Bloemfontein Celtic in their last league match, they will be keen to avoid any slip-ups in their bid to avoid relegation. The corresponding fixture between the two sides ended 0-0, but playing at home, Matsatsantsa a Pitori will want to make certain of victory in order to secure their place in the Top Eight bracket.

Raymond Seopa: SuperSport United win
