Football fans looking for their mobile gaming fix to be filled will be happy to know that eFootball 2022 will launch on devices in June.
Previously known as eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer, the game has been rebranded by Konami and is now a free-to-play title.
After a disastrous launch of the game on PC and consoles, the mobile version of the game was heavily delayed and will arrive eight months since launch.
The game is set to release on 2 June, which incidentally is also the same day that the 1.1.0 update will release for the PC and console version.
A statement on the game's official Twitter account read, "Thank you for patience and we apologise for the long wait. With this v1.1.0 update, our new football game 'eFootball™ 2022' is finally here!
"The v1.1.0 update will include new gameplay and Dream Team, as well as improvements of win/loss decision-making in online matches and server enhancements through the adoption of a client server system.
"The maintenance period will last between May 30th to June 2nd, and once complete we will begin the start-up period until June 15th. From June 16th we will start various in-game events and campaigns, where users can also acquire players with eFootball™ coins.
"More information about the new controls and Dream Team will be available on the official website and on this Twitter account. We hope you enjoy mobile version of eFootball™ 2022."
