With just a few training sessions with the senior team and impressive games with the DDC side, a Kaizer Chiefs young defender is attracting interest from Botswana's Jwaneng Galaxy, according to insiders privy to information.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, left-footed central defender Xolani Cossa is set for promotion to the senior team, while a loan deal would help him to gain experience.

Siya sources have indicated how Jwaneng Galaxy are believed to have entered the race for his signature.
The insiders added that if all goes well, the move could happen in January once he signs a senior professional contract with Chiefs, as he can't be loaned out as an amateur to a foreign country.
"The Jwaneng Galaxy technical team knows the player. I think they know him from the Chiefs DDC side and they have inquired about him. They are interested in signing him on loan but that could only happen in January as he can't move at the moment. But that just shows you how good the boy is. He hasn't played in any professional first team game yet but there is already interest in him. That's great," said the Siya source.
A second insider stated that Chiefs are ensuring Cossa has a first-team contract by January so he can be loaned out as a first-team player, not an amateur.

"I think and believe the interest from Jwaneng Galaxy will speed up the process of him signing a first team contract. They cannot loan him to a team outside the country as as an amateur player because they will need international clearance so that Chiefs' senior team contract is very important for the move to happen. Yes, Chiefs would like him to gain that experience as well. So, it works for both teams at this stage," the second insider stated.
The 20-year-old left-footed central defender, who has been performing very well for Chiefs' DDC side, was recently part of the Amakhosi squad that won the Home of Legends trophy by beating Mamelodi Sundowns in the final.
Soccer Laduma contacted both Chiefs and Jwaneng Galaxy for comment, but there was no response at the time of publishing this report.
