SuperSport United's U14s Are Playing In A Tournament In England

SuperSport United's U14s team will be leaving for England next month to take part in the Youdan Trophy that takes place every year in Sheffield. Read: Hunt Confirms Wits' Swoop For Big Name Duo The club, who have a famed youth academy structure in South Africa, will be pitted against their counterparts from all over the world, with the likes of Manchester United, Everton, Glasgow Celtic and others set to do battle. SuperSport's kids have been drawn against the Toffees, Celtic, Sheffield United and Al Habsi in the group stages of the tournament, with their first game seeing them take on Everton on July 31st. Last year's U14 final saw Charlton Athletic beat Sheffield Wednesday to win the trophy in a tournament that commemorates the oldest football trophy in the world, the Youdan Cup, that was first played for in 1867. It will take place between July 31st and August 4th. Meanwhile, SuperSport will be hosting open trials on the 3rd and 4th of July at the Modderfontein Sports Complex for players born between 1996 and 2000.
