Having recently been with Mamelodi Sundowns, defender Stephen Sama has been spotted in training at SuperSport United.
According to information received by the Siya crew, Sundowns have decided against signing the Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund defender and he has now surfaced at SuperSport, where he is being assessed by head coach Gavin Hunt.
Sama was in training on Tuesday morning during a media day, as SuperSport prepare for another clash with Tshwane rivals Mamelodi Sundowns, having faced them over the past weekend in the MTN8. Sundowns won the clash 2-0.
Sama, who was born in Cameroon, has gained experience from playing in countries such as Germany, the Netherlands and England.
Other players who are in training with SuperSport are Wayde Jooste and Sibusiso Khumalo, who has previously been with Matsatsantsa. Both players were in training on Tuesday morning ahead of the clash against Sundowns.
The Siya crew understands that Sama has impressed the technical team, with a deal believed to be imminent.
