Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be offering defender Reeve Frosler a new deal ahead of his current contract expiring in June 2025.
Soccer Laduma had previously reported on the Glamour Boys' interest in keeping Frosler.
Now, Siya sources close to the club have indicated that Amakhosi have proposed a two-year extension with an additional one-year option for the former BidVest Wits defender.

An insider stated that coach Nasreddine Nabi is pleased with Frosler's performance and has recommended to management that they keep the right-back at Chiefs for a longer period.
"Coach Nabi wants to keep Frosler while he is still at the club and he is playing a part in making sure that he has him at the team for the next two years. That's why the club is looking at signing another two years with him. The coach believes in him as the right player in the right back position and the club has taken the initiative to tie him down for another two years and make sure that he is not a free agent before January as his contract ends in June 2025. It's a fairly good offer on the table and both parties involved are looking at it. It will will happen soon," the Siya source stated.
A second Siya source stated that with the club potentially losing or releasing other defenders, the 26-year-old is considered a key player on the right side of the defence due to his versatility.
"For now his place is safe in the team as the coach and the technical team believe that they have what they want on the right back position. The team wants to have a strong squad that the coach needs and the two-year new deal for Reeve (Frosler) is to make sure they keep all the players they still need at the club," the second source stated.
Frosler joined Amakhosi in 2019 and signed a three-year contract, which was renewed in June 2022 and is set to expire in June 2025. This is why the club has offered him a new two-year contract.
Frosler has played matches for the national Under-17 team, the Under-20s, and for the senior side, Bafana Bafana. This season, he has already played in all three Betway Premiership encounters Chiefs have participated in so far.

Last season, after the departure of another former Chiefs defender, Siyabonga Ngezana, to Europe, Frosler also reportedly attracted interest from abroad, but nothing materialised.
Soccer Laduma contacted the player's agent, Paul Mitchell on the contract situation, but he chose not to comment.
The Siya crew also reached out to Kaizer Chiefs who did not respond at the time of preparing this report.
Amakhosi's potential decision to offer Frosler a new contract underscores their commitment to retaining key players and maintaining squad stability. As Frosler continues to play a crucial role in the team's defence, securing his services for the long term will be vital for the club's future success.
