A move to Orlando Pirates is now unlikely for former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Darrel Matsheke after the player was previously linked with the Buccaneers.
During his time with Stellenbosch FC, Matsheke was playing well and appeared to be on course to revive his career after he was released from Amakhosi last year.

However, the defensive midfielder was released from the Winelands outfit after he transgressed the club's internal code of conduct, as confirmed by the club.
"There was interest from Pirates in the player when he was playing for Stellenbosch. But after he was released from Stellenbosch in the way it happened, the move is now unlikely to happen," said the source.

Another source has indicated to the Siya crew that the 25-year-old has attracted interest from outside of Mzansi.
"Darrell Matsheke could be lost to South African football as there is interest in his services from abroad. Indian Super League club Punjab FC has showed interest in Matsheke and the player's camp is considering it," said the source.
