With the next transfer window looming, an Orlando Pirates defender is believed to be attracting interest as clubs look to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season.
After joining the Buccaneers during the off-season, following an impressive campaign he had with Bloemfontein Celtic, Bongani Sam has struggled at the Soweto giants as game-time has been hard to come by for him.
The exciting young left back, as reported in edition 1145 of Soccer Laduma, could be made available for a loan move later on in the season.
Word reaching the Siya crew is that the 22-year-old fullback's situation is monitored at Celtic, who are said would be keen to have him back to strengthen their squad for the second round of the season.
As he has been yet to make his official debut for Bucs, Sam is behind the likes of Innocent Maela and Paseka Mako in the pecking order in his position, while waiting for his chance under interim coach Rhulani Mokwena.
"Bongani Sam could be loaned out by Pirates in January if he is still struggling for game-time. He is a talented player who just needs game-time to progress," said a source.
Another player linked with Siwelele is former Kaizer Chiefs striker Emmanuel Letlotlo, who has been training with the team under Lehlohonolo Seema.
