Nyauza Open To Move Outside Mzansi

Nyauza Open To Move Outside Mzansi

Ntsikelelo Nyauza

Former Orlando Pirates man Ntsikelelo Nyauza has not closed the door to making a move outside the country. The defender has been without a club since leaving Richards Bay FC at the end of last season and is now considering the possibility of making a move on the continent, with some South African players recently exploring options in different countries.

Most recently, Haashim Domingo made a move to Morocco to play for Raja Casablanca, while Mahlatse Makudubela joined Tanzanian giants Young Africans after getting exposure in the CAF Confederation Cup last season with Marumo Gallants.

Other players who are currently plying their trade around the continent are Percy Tau and Fagrie Lakay in Egypt, while Thabo Rakhale, Rooi Mahamutsa and Sifiso Myeni are all based in neighbouring Botswana.

Nyauza, at 33, is the same age as Makudubela, which does give him hope that he could still attract interest outside Mzansi's borders, especially with not much interest coming from PSL clubs at this stage.

"I spoke to my agent and he said he would talk to some of the guys who work for him outside (the country), so we will have to wait and see what happens. But I am open to making a move outside the country," the 33-year-old told Soccer Laduma.

The centre-back, who can also play right back, was with the Natal Rich Boyz for one season, making 23 appearances in all competitions during that period.
