Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi recently revealed that defender Kegan Johannes joined the club after having an operation while he was with his former club SuperSport United.

Johannes started training on the pitch recently and has since joined the rest of his teammates as they prepare for the start their campaigns in the Betway Premiership and CAF Champions League.
The Siya crew understands that the 23-year-old will be available for selection this month, after missing out on making an appearance for the Tshwane giants in the MTN8 due to injury.
Johannes is unlikely to break straight into the starting line-up, as he's had to play catch up after missing out on the pre-season tour of Austria.

Sundowns start their season with a Champions League clash away to Mbabane Swallows on September 14 and then host Tshwane rivals SuperSport United in the Premiership three days later.
Another player who looks set to make a return to action this month is Thembinkosi Lorch, who sustained an injury before the end of last season. Like Johannes, Lorch did not travel to Austria on the pre-season tour and has to fight his way back into the team.
Lorch has been training with the rest of his teammates and it's understood that he could be an option for the matchday squad before the end of September.
