The sources added that the interest in the 19-year-old started last season, but his injury disrupted everything. Now that he has started playing again, there is a stronger possibility of a transfer.

"Yes, there has been interest from European clubs for some time now. What disturbed him was the injury last season. He was out for a very long time. But since the start of the season his handlers have informed the club that the interest from Europe is there. Actually they have said it's clubs in France and Belgium but they are the ones dealing with that and the club is aware," the Siya source stated.

A second insider stated that the teenager could be joining Campbell in Belgium, though maybe not at the same club.

"The stronger interest is the one from Belgium. Yes, we heard there is also a French club that made some inquiries about him but I can't say much about the clubs whether the Belgian one or even the French one... but there has been interest in Neo since his time in the academy," the second source stated.

Soccer Laduma asked coach Gavin Hunt about the interest from Europe, though he could neither deny nor confirm it. However, he believes Rapoo is the best left-back in the country at the moment.

"I am surprised he is not in the Bafana Bafana set up. Maybe because of the injury that he got last season. But in my opinion he is the best left back we have in the country at the moment he should be playing for the national team. His future is really bright," Hunt told Soccer Laduma.

This publication contacted CEO Stan Matthews, but there was no response at the time of publishing. Rapoo continues to impress on the field, the interest from European clubs highlights his potential and talent. Whether he moves to France or Belgium, his future looks promising, and fans will be eager to see how his career develops.
