Kaizer Chiefs are hopeful to secure Khama Billiat's signature on a pre-contract during the current January transfer window, this according to Siya sources.
It has been reported over recent months that Billiat could be heading for the exit at the Chlooorkop-based club, as the player is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.

Billiat's contract with Sundowns is set to come to an end on June 30 this year and as a result, Head Coach Pitso Mosimane has stated on several occasions that the club is preparing for life without the Zimbabwean international, despite hope that he would extend his stay beyond the current season.
However, the player has been heavily linked with an exit from the club and Chiefs are one of the many clubs believed to be interested in the player's services.

According to Siya sources, Amakhosi have already escalated their interest in the player, with the source revealing that the Soweto giants have offered the player an attractive pre-contract.
Should Billiat agree to the deal, the player could join up with the club as a free agent when his deal with Masandawana comes to an end at the end of June.
Now, it remains to be seen what decision the 27-year-old will make in the next step of his professional football career.
