In what may not come as a shock to Mamelodi Sundowns fans, Siya sources within the club's camp have indicated that Sporting Director Flemming Berg was believed to have entered the changeroom after the match against Stellenbosch FC recently.
The Brazilians were knocked out of the MTN8 semi-finals by Stellies a week ago, losing both home and away games 1-0, crashing out of the tournament 0-2 on aggregate.
Since then, four independent sources close to the club have indicated that Flemming entered the changeroom to speak to the players, which is not common practice for technical directors to step in.
Manqoba Mngqithi is the head coach at Sundowns following the departure of previous mentor Rulani Mokwena before the start of this season, and indications are that with Flemming addressing the players, he is unhappy with recent results, according to insiders privy to information.

"The Sporting Director was not happy at all. After the game he went to the dressing room and gave the players a stern warning on their performances and stated that if they don't improve then there will be consequences to follow," explained one of the Siya sources.
"He was really upset and he made it clear that the coaches can do so much but as players they have to do the work on the field, of which he felt they didn't in those two games," the source added.

A second source, also close to the club, stated that Berg also mentioned the squad's financial incentives in context of their performances going forward.
"He stated that with the financial incentives that they get from the team, they are expected to perform much better than they did against Stellenbosch FC in the MTN8 semi-finals. He spared the technical team this time around because he believed they did their best looking at the way the team played but it was the players who could not execute the gameplan in those games and he believes it was their fault the team lost," a second source stated.
Sundowns' next game is in the CAF Champions League against Eswatini League Champions Mbabane Swallows on the 14th of September, the same day the Betway Premiership kicks off.
Soccer Laduma contacted Sundowns for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
