The Siya crew has learnt that former Cape Town City and Maritzburg United winger Allan 'Dancing Rasta' Kateregga is in advanced talks with a PSL club over a possible return to the league.
According to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC's ambitious owner, Masala Mulaudzi, they are currently in talks with Kateregga, as well as two unnamed players to further bolster coach Joel Masutha's squad, who have enjoyed a decent start to the season.
"We are looking forward to bringing in two or three more signings, that we are still negotiating," Mulaudzi told the Siya crew.
"We are looking for a gentleman by the name of Kateregga, from Uganda.
"We are currently talking to him and two more players. We can't divulge the names of the other two players, but Kateregga is at an advanced stage, and if things go well, we will sign him," Mulaudzi told the Siya crew.
Tshakhuma are blessed with attacking talent after recently acquiring the services of Thabo Rakhale, who has been an instant hit and fortunately for the team, 26-year-old Kateregga is no stranger to the PSL and will not need a lot of time to settle, should they snap him up.
He signed for Cape Town City in 2017, though his spell with the Cape-based side included a loan stint with Maritzburg United.
After struggling to find a team in the PSL following his release from City, Kateregga joined Iraqi outfit, Erbil SC on a short-term deal.
With his contract in the Middle East having expired on June 30, the Ugandan is currently a free agent and unaffected by the local transfer window which slammed shut on November 30 and could join Vhadau Vha Damani - or any team of his choice, at a later stage.
