There's been more movement in the overseas market for South African football fans, with the latest European move from the Absa Premiership being confirmed.
It was reported by the Siya crew last year that Swedish top-flight outfit, Varbergs BolS, were interested in SuperSport United midfielder, Luke le Roux, and that he was set to undergo a training spell in Sweden as they sought to have a closer look.
Now, with Varberg preparing for the start of the 2020 season, it has been announced that the 19-year-old has signed a permanent deal at the club.
A statement on the Swedish club's website today read, "Varbergs BoIS FC announces the contracting of South African midfielder Luke Le Roux, from SuperSport United FC on a 4-year deal.
"The 19-year-old South African has represented his national team at all youth levels and was also the captain of the U17 national team. Luke was also selected and represented his national team at the U20 World Cup in Poland last year."
Varberg's season gets underway later this month when they take on Hammarby in the Swedish Cup, and he'll be hoping to start alongside his compatriots, Keanin Ayer, who recently signed a new contract at the club, and new signing, Tashreeq Matthews.
