Major League Soccer side St. Louis City have parted ways with South African head coach Bradley Carnell.

Carnell's enjoyed a good debut season in the MLS, as they won the Western Conference title with 17 wins, 12 losses and five draws.

However, this season has not been as smooth as they currently sit 12th in the Western Conference with just three wins from 21 matches.

The MLS outfit have now decided to part ways with the South African tactician with immediate effect.

"Given Bradley's many contributions to the club, this was not an easy decision," CITY SC Sporting Director Lutz Pfannenstiel said, as per the club's official website.

"Unfortunately, based on our Year 2 results to date, we believe a coaching change is in the best interest of the club as we regroup and look to improve both our performance and our results."
