Premier League giants Manchester United have confirmed the departure of Benni McCarthy.
The Bafana Bafana legend has spent the past two years as part of Erik ten Hag's coaching staff.

The Red Devils have now confirmed that McCarthy has left the club along with assistant coach Mitchell van der Gaag.
Statement:
Steve McClaren and Darren Fletcher remain key parts of the staff as senior first-team coach and first-team coach, respectively.
Mitchell van der Gaag and Benni McCarthy have left the club.
Ten Hag has paid tribute to both McCarthy and van der Gaag for their contributions in the past two seasons.
"Mitchell has decided that now is the right time for him to pursue his own ambitions in a number one position," Ten Hag told the club's official website.
