The list of South African footballers playing in Europe grew by one more this week after a talented star from Mzansi penned a deal with Toulouse in France…
Kelso Peskin, 25, has been confirmed by the Division 2 Féminine side as their latest January signing as they look to climb up the table in the second half of the season, reportedly penning a deal until the end of the campaign with an option to renew.
Peskin, who studied at Lamar University in Texas, USA, before returning to play for Vasco da Gama in her hometown of Cape Town in 2018, will be hoping to hit the ground running in France with her new club, and admits that the level is higher for her to get used to.
Speaking to the club's official website, the attacker said, "I come here with the ambition to help the club by scoring goals... It is my role. The girls have had a difficult start to the season, but we need to keep going.
"It is not my first experience far from South Africa since I studied in the United States, but this is is my first time playing in Europe, here with Toulouse… The level is higher here it seems to me, more physical, with more long balls and duels I hope to make my speed speak and be decisive quickly."
Toulouse face Saint Malo as they look to get back to winning ways, and the Banyana Banyana forward will be hoping to make her debut at home as she aims to break into Soraya Belkadi's side.
