While Paris Saint-Germain were awarded the Ligue 1 title on Thursday, Bongani Zungu's Amiens were relegated, which has been labelled an in 'injustice' by the club president.
After the 2019/2020 Ligue 1 season was cancelled on Tuesday, the league confirmed on Thursday that the final standings were based on a points-per-game system.
PSG were awarded the league title, while Olympique Marseille and Rennes secured the other two UEFA Champions League spots as a result.
Amiens, meanwhile, were relegated to Ligue 2 along with Tolouse but club president Bernard Joannin insists he will fight this injustice.
"It is an injustice because Amiens could not defend until the end on the pitch to remain in Ligue 1," Amiens president Bernard Joannin said in a Facebook live broadcast.
"I'll fight with all the teams to assert our right, because I think this decision isn't right. We will wait for the minutes of the LFP board of directors.
"There will be the passage to the general assembly, and we reserve the right to go further so that justice passes."
Olympique Lyon, who missed out on the top four, and Toulouse have both confirmed they will appeal the league's decision on the final standings.
