Banyana Banyana star, Linda Motlhalo, secured a move to Djurgården in Sweden earlier this year as she took the first steps in her European career after spells in the United States of America and China, and burst onto the scene in their 4-2 win over AIK.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who is seen as a bright talent for Desiree Ellis' South African national team, came on as a substitute as the two Stockholm giants battled it out in the Swedish Cup, and managed to get two goals on her debut in order to secure an important victory.
Speaking to the club's official website after the game, the 'Randfontein Ronaldinho' said of her performance, "As I was sitting on the bench I could see their weaknesses, because they're ball orientated. I saw I must distance myself from their defenders, that's what I did and I scored.
"I'm very happy, even though it's so cold, but as times goes I'll adjust to the weather and atmosphere… It was our official match together, so we needed to adjust, and I'm so glad that we got the win."
