Bafana Bafana striker Lars Veldwijk's new club returned to action today, post COVID-19
The 28-year-old, who plies his trade in Japan for K League champions Jeonbuk Motors was not action due to injury, as the South Korean Super League kicked off today (Friday).
The former Groningen and Kortrijk striker, made the move to Asia in January, and watched from the sidelines, as his team secured a 1 - 0 win over Korean FA Cup winners Suwon Bluewings.
Having found the back of the net 24 times in 36 matches last season, the lanky striker will be itching to get back to football for his new side.
Asia's oldest league is one of the first to restart proceedings with leagues like Germany's Bundesliga set to resume on May 16, as the sporting drought slowly comes to an end.
Meanwhile there has been no resolution in the PSL after the exco met on May 07, to determine the way forward for the 2019/20 campaign and subsequently submit a proposal to the South African government.
However, the PSL have revealed that it was unable to give any update on the adjourned meeting.
