With Jose Riveiro’s departure marking the end of a crucial chapter at Orlando Pirates, the Buccaneers are reportedly preparing for a significant reshuffle ahead of the new season – and several senior players could find themselves heading for the exit door.
As part of their new long-term vision, Pirates are expected to place more focus on youth development, continuing the path that saw several youngsters promoted under Riveiro’s guidance. With a new coach set to come in, fresh promotions from the club’s development structures are also expected, alongside strategic new signings during the off-season.
The shift could come at the expense of a number of existing squad members, some of whom struggled for consistent game-time or failed to fully convince under the previous technical team.
