The Siya crew have been informed that Orlando Pirates have made a decision on the future of midfielder Simo Bophela, the twin brother of attacker Simiso Bophela.
As reported by the Siya crew in November last year, Simo, the younger of the two, had been leapfrogged by his brother Simiso, who was promoted to the Bucs first team by coach Mandla and Fadlu Davids.
The striker made his debut for the club late last year.
Now, the latest news reaching the crew is that Simo has been sent out on loan by Pirates for the remainder of the season.
Siya sources have spotted the 21-year-old at GladAfrica Championship side Venda Football Academy, where he has been training with the club ahead of the resumption of the country's second division in February.
"The boy is in Venda. He was sent out on loan by Pirates who believe that he needs game-time at this point of his career. His brother will be staying with Pirates," the source informed the crew.
Last season, both of the Bophela twins spent the campaign out on loan at GladAfrica Championship winners, Sekhukhune United, but were recalled to the Bucs first team at the end of the season.
