Siya sources have indicated how five forwards are currently under consideration for a move to the Houghton-based club for the beginning of next season.
The players on Pirates' radar include former Burnley FC striker Tremaine Eastmond, Young Africa's Burkinabe attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki, Congolese striker Andy Boyeli who is currently showcasing his talents in Zambia, Casric Stars' Decide Chauke, and Muzomuhle Khanyi from Hungry Lions.
These potential incomings have been previously revealed by Soccer Laduma, and now Siya crew talks to an insider about the potential transfers.
"The club is serious about bringing in a forward or even more at the start of next season. As much as they have identified some players in their defence they have also scouted players who they believe will help the team going forward," said the Siya source.
"They have different abilities and that is why they are looking at all of them as each one of them brings a different dimension to the team. Most of them have experience though they are relatively young but talented. It will be an interesting season and window period for Pirates, this coming one," the source observed.
In preparation for the potential new arrivals, the club is also planning to make room in the squad by offloading current players, according to a second Siya source.
"Look. There is going to be a shakeup. It may not be a big one but there will be changes with outgoings and incomings. The strikers who are apparently coming in are supposed to take the places of the ones who will be leaving. That's how it's going to be. There will be changes for the good of the team I believe," the second Siya source concluded.
Pirates' pursuit of new talent for their forward department signifies the club's ambition to bolster their attacking options for Caf football next season. With a mix of experience and youthful talent, the targeted strikers are expected to bring diverse skills and fresh energy to the team.
As the transfer window approaches, the anticipated shakeup within the squad underscores the club's commitment to strengthening their lineup and competing at the highest level.
