Former Orlando Pirates coach Micho Sredojevic has done for Zamalek what he couldn't in his two seasons with the Buccaneers – win silverware.

Just three weeks after he quit his job at Pirates to join the Egyptian giants, in what has been reported as a multimillion-rand year-long contract, the Serbian helped guide his new club to a cup win against rivals Pyramids on Sunday.

Zamalek were crowned Egypt Cup title winners at the Borg El Arab Stadium following a 3-0 victory, ending Sredojevic's personal drought during his tenure at Pirates.
Although the Buccaneers grew in confidence in the two years that Sredojevic was their coach, there was no silverware to show for it as the club finished Absa Premiership runners-up in those two successive campaigns.
In December last year, the Buccaneers also lost the Telkom Knockout final to Baroka FC, while they have already been knocked out of the MTN8 this season, barely 24 hours after Sredojevic resigned in a huff having first claimed his mother was gravely ill and that he was also distracted because of the potential Zamalek offer.
Sex scandal allegations also surfaced, with reports that a 51-year-old woman had opened a case of indecent exposure against the then Pirates coach.
It's now taken him just 24 days to win a trophy at his new club, leaving Pirates fans distraught on social media.
