Ncikazi Singles Out Birthday Boy On Bucs Debut

Orlando Pirates interim coach Mandla Ncikazi gave some special praise to Siyabonga Dladla, who kept a clean sheet on his Buccaneers debut.

Dladla came in for Sipho Chaine to make his first appearance in the senior side as the Buccaneers defeated SuperSport United 1-0 on Tuesday night.

Ncikazi was delighted with how the younger players in the squad are adapting to the first team.

“These human beings are amazing, no complains. They dig in every day; they are there every day no complains and one can only be proud that this group of players are willing to put their names in the history of the club and I’m just happy for the young boys that are getting the opportunity.

“They are using it correctly, another one today – the goalkeeper. I thought Siya, you couldn’t tell that it was a young boy in the sticks. Proud for the history of this club.

It was an overall great day for Dladla, who was celebrating his 24th birthday.

“Hey, pre-destination, it’s amazing. Yesterday, we didn’t know it was his birthday, maybe on my side and for us to make it a selection," he added.

"It was not planned, it just happened. Happy birthday to him with three points.'
