After Pirates announced new signings, Yanela Mbuthuma (from Richards Bay), Masindi Nemtajela (Marumo Gallants), Tshepang Moremi (AmaZulu), Nkosikhona Ndaba (Richards Bay), Sinoxolo Kwayiba (Chippa United), Tshepo Mashiloane (Baroka) and Sihle Ndule (Stellenbosch), in addition to Sipho Mbule and (later Oswin Appollis).

The Buccaneers also added that the players will go through an induction process with the club's legends, including the likes of Motale, Lucky Lekgwathi and Happy Jele among others.
Speaking exclusively to Soccer Laduma, Motale says he's quiet happy with the new additions.
"I'm quiet happy because the majority of them are still young, they still have three to four years with Pirates you understand," Motale told this publication.
'Magents' went on and revealed that the legends spoke to the new players about expectations but more importantly how they should carry themselves on and off the pitch.
"Remember some of them are from Chippa, Baroka. We spoke to them about their behaviour on and off the field," the former Bafana Bafana defender carried on.
"Also the money issue, because for example you're coming from Baroka, you're earning R10 000, here (at Pirates) they give you R90 000, R100, 000 (per month), you're going to go crazy!
"You also need to have control. It was a nice educational talk like fathers with sons," Motale said, without divulging too much.

Apart from marquee signings Mbule and Appollis, players such as Tshepang Moremi impressed at Usuthu, as he finished the 2024/25 season in the top five players with most assists in the Betway Premiership.
The likes of Mbuthuma and Kwayiba also have the attention of Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos after they were included in the recent squad announcements.
