With Jose Riveiro appearing to be heading for greatness at Orlando Pirates, the coach has been commended for the team's transformation.
Riveiro has become the first coach for Pirates to lead the team to five cup finals in the PSL era, having already won four of those going into the upcoming fifth one.

In each of his two seasons with the Buccaneers, the Spanish coach won the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup respectively and is now with a chance of adding another after reaching the final of the MTN8 this season.
With a possibility for the 46-year-old to have his contract extended, he could potentially be heading towards the honour of being arguably the best Pirates coach of our time.
"The success of the coach at Pirates isn't only because of him and his technical team, but it is also about the support structure that he's got from the management as well as the development staff. We need to say thank you to all these people for the role they have played. From the chairman and to the management and all these people deserve to be given credit. As the legends who understand the game better, we are happy. The supporters are also happy. What I would like to ask from everyone associated with the club is that we must support the structure that has been put in place always, irrespective of the results," former Pirates striker James Mothibi said, speaking to the Siya crew.

"The coach has done very well in putting the structure in place. What this coach has done, which I am impressed about after all these years, is that he has mastered getting the technical ability of the players to another level. Technically, Orlando Pirates are top class compared to what we had before. In the past we lacked luck, and the commitment from players was sometimes questionable, but now we've managed to get all that right. The players believe in the coach. If you can check, some of the players we have are ordinary but because of the belief they have in the coach and their commitment and determination, they are doing well. Pirates have top listeners who can execute the plan," he said.
