Goodman Mosele, who walked away with the deserved Man of the Match award on Wednesday revealed the secret behind Bucs' come-from-behind victory over SuperSport United.
There were debates over whether he should have been on the field in the first place or not following what seemed like a malicious challenge on Jamie Webber in the first half, but Mosele's late scorcher proved to be the winner in Pirates 3-2 win over Matsatsantsa.
The 22-year-old who recently earned himself a Bafana Bafana recall continued his sublime form for the Soweto giants with yet another marauding midfield display.
After the match, Mosele gave insight into how Pirates emerged victorious in the end despite being under the cosh in the opening minutes where they conceded two goals
"What I can say is that they planned for us, because when the game started, they pressed us. They didn't allow us any space to play. So, their plan worked in the first 15 to 20 minutes. They continued pressing us and we couldn't really play but as the game went on, it started opening up a bit more," Mosele told Pirates' media department after the game.
"For us to come from two goals down, we obviously had to push. We pushed hard and we got the penalties, it was great going into half time at 2-2.
"In the second half we kept our shape, and they were getting tired as it is impossible to press like that for the entire game, so it opened up a lot and that is where I stepped in," he said.
The goal was Mosele's third for the Buccaneers this season, proving just why he is one of the highly rated midfielders in the country at the moment.
