Former Striker Andries Sebola In No Favour Of Gaston Sirino To Orlando Pirates Talk

A former Orlando Pirates striker has made a startling revelation that he wouldn't want to see Gaston Sirino at the Soweto giants.

Social media has been abuzz in the last few weeks, following unconfirmed reports linking the Mamelodi Sundowns star with the Buccaneers.

Following Downs' signing of Bradley Ralani from Cape Town City, pundits have suggested that Sirino could further struggle for game time at the Chloorkop outfit as he has been under coaches Manqoba Mngqithi, Rulani Mokwena and Steve Komphela in recent months.

While there has been no official communication from either Sundowns or Pirates regarding the 30-year-old player's future, former Pirates striker Andries Sebola has commented on whether the Uruguayan would fit or not at Bucs, while the talented player has also been linked with Egyptian giants Al Ahly in recent times.

"I think it would be difficult for him at Pirates because most of the players there play individual football. Pirates players don't play in the same way that Sundowns players play and at Sundowns they know him better than how he would have to start all over again at Pirates," said Sebola.

"He is a very good player and I would like him to continue at Sundowns and get to play. Sirino would struggle at Pirates and would end up having to go back home. Do you remember when (José) Torrealba moved from Sundowns to Chiefs? He struggled at Chiefs and ended up leaving. I think the same would happen to Sirino if he was to leave Sundowns for Pirates. Let him stay at Sundowns and I don't think Sundowns can let him go to rivals anyway. The man is one of the best players I have ever seen to come from where he comes from (Uruguay)," he added.
