An outgoing Polokwane City defender has commented about being linked with a move to Orlando Pirates.
After strengthening their defence with Bafana Bafana captain Thulani Hlatshwayo in preparation for the new season, the Buccaneers are considering a move for Ayanda Nkili, according to sources.

Although he couldn't stop Rise and Shine from relegation at the end of the 2019/20 season, the 30-year-old's performances for Clinton Larsen's side in the bio-bubble left a lasting impression, with indications that his name has been bandied about for a possible move to Bucs.
Nkili has confirmed parting was with Polokwane, though he says he hasn't discussed a potential move to Pirates with anyone.
"I am still in Polokwane because my family is here, though I have parted was with the club after we reached that agreement. For now, I am assessing my options, you know how football is. We are still hurt (for Polokwane's relegation), and not one of us is thinking straight at the moment. We will see what happens," Nkili told the Siya crew.

"I don't know anything about it (Pirates talk), but I must say that it's encouraging (to be linked with the club). No one has spoken to me about it," said the centre-back.
Having come through the renowned Stars of Africa Football Academy and went on to land a deal in Sweden in 2010, and following in the footsteps of May Mahlangu, Tokelo Rantie and Bradley Ralani in doing so, Nkili could be set for a big PSL move in his next deal.
