Head coach Stuart Baxter reckons that he will be able to turn SuperSport United's season around with a Nedbank Cup win and, says that joining the club mid-season has been a challenge for him.

As SuperSport prepare to take on Mpumalanga Black Aces in their Nedbank Cup quarter-final tie on Friday, the former Kaizer Chiefs coach has said that he wants to win this season's trophy to make up for his club's poor start to the season under Gordon Igesund, who Baxter replaced in the dugout in January.
"I think the players have done better," he told the Siya crew. "Some of the players feel they have under achieved and winning this trophy would be the best way to finish the season knowing that Nedbank Cup is the last trophy of the season."
Baxter, whose team has been in good form of late, claiming five wins in their last seven games, is also convinced that the Pretoria-based outfit would have been in a much better position if he had spent more time with them this season, despite the fact that he's taken them into the top eight of the PSL standings.
"It's always a big challenge to start coaching a team mid-season," he continued. "You are limited with what you can do. It's always better if you get good results because you have the momentum."
