AmaZayoni face a tough challenge against Matsatsantsa a Pitori on Friday, with the Pretoria outfit winning five of their last seven games, while Aces have only accumulated three wins in that timeframe.
Muhsin Ertugral's chargers started the season well, flirting with top spot in the league and reaching the Telkom Knockout Quarter finals, but have seen their form drop recently, while SuperSport have seen a vast improvement in their performances since Stuart Baxter took over from Gordon Igesund and, have broken into the PSL's top eight.
Mabedi has noted the contrasting positions of the clubs, but believes it comes down to fitness issues.
"As you know we started the season on a very good note, but then we went through a bad patch because of injuries and fatigue to the players, " he told the Siya crew. "But we are coming back very well now and I think we can do well against SuperSport."
The 42-year-old went on to say that Aces will progress to the semi-finals because they are looking to return to their best before the season comes to a close.
"They are a good team but we want to finish on a good note and make sure we finish the season with a trophy and on a good note. To do that we have to go past SuperSport and reach the semi-finals," the Malawian concluded.
