Date: 21 February 2015
Venue: Wolfson Stadium
Chippa United were dumped out of the Nedbank Cup after losing 4-2 on penalties to ABC Motsepe League side, Natal United.
After a goalless first half where the best chances fell to Chippa, head coach Ernst Middendorp brought on Nigerian forward, George Akpabio, in the second half in the hope of breaking the deadlock
The Nigerian's impact was immediate, he caused a few problems down the right flank and went close with a low effort after the hour mark.
The Chilli Boys should have went ahead in the 68th minute, as Akpabio picked out Sipho-Sihle Mtule at the near post but the winger scooped his effort over the bar from point-blank range.
Natal were certainly holding their own against the Premier Soccer League outfit and went close after 70 minutes, as Mjoli's long range strike sailed inches over the crossbar.
Neither side could break the deadlock in the remaining 20 minutes and the game was forced into extra-time.
It was more of the same in the 30 minutes of extra-time, which sent the game into a penalty-shootout, where Natal United held their nerve to triumph 4-2 in the shootout.
